They have a web based stock search system but their South African office identified the lack of reliable connectivity in the area meant that many South African customers could not access the web based system.

The requirement was for a CD that would replicate the actions of the web based system complete with shopping basket.

The database contains in excess of 1 Million lines which can be searched in seconds producing a list of components best matching the users search criteria. 

These components can be added to a shopping basket building up a list which can be automatically submitted by email directly to Eurotech as soon as network connectivity is restored.

The CD has the ability to log onto Eurotech's servers here in the UK and check for updates to the database. If updates are available then they system downloads and installs them without the need for user interaction.
